Good news for all Chromecast users Tech giant Google has started rolling out the new Android 12 update for all Chrome Cast with Google TV (4K) devices. The update carries the build number STTE.220621.019.A2.9082754 with a download size of 722MB and integrates July 2022 Android security patches.

Android 12 update brings some of the new features Google introduced with Android 12 last year, including the camera and microphone toggles that let users disable or enable camera and microphone access for apps. the update includes additional settings to help users control HDR format and surround sound. In addition, to this update, Android TV OS users can upgrade directly from version 10 to 12.

To download the latest Android 12 update on your Chromecast with Google TV (4K) device, Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner > Settings > System > About > System update, and follow the instructions.
